Australia is a safe and highly-desirable place to live, with abundant natural resources and energy. We have a proud history of success through great attitudes, education and a fair go for all.
But lately we’ve been squandering our good fortune. An ever-expanding public sector is draining our wealth, often on things which we haven’t asked or voted for.
The major parties act increasingly alike (i.e ‘The UniParty’), with meek policy and a spending spree of handouts, avoiding making the hard calls needed to build our future. The minor parties add some spice to the mix, but are held back by fringe issues and personalities.
But perhaps the solution is simple: start with a clean sheet of policies laser-focused on maximising our prosperity, without the baggage of existing party lines, personalities or constituents, what would that look like? I hereby propose a vision for:
The Prosperity Party.
Less red tape. More innovation. Less government spending. More business. Less woke, less alarmist. Build more, and build faster. Less global concern. More wealth creation and freedom for everyone living here. Common sense with a bold vision, grounded in economic reality.
Maximise prosperity above all else: we can only do good things through a surplus of prosperity.
We were once “The Lucky Country” then “The Clever Country”. Let us now choose an optimistic self-image for the 2020s, aligned with our bountiful spot on this earth: a party for…
“The Prosperous Country”
